Sr. Cloud Network Architect

About the role

You will be responsible for designing, implementing and operating a highly scalable networking platform hosted within Microsoft Azure that integrates with major telecom providers and other carrier partners. The role combines deep cloud networking expertise with service‑provider technologies, requiring you to discuss BGP with carrier architects, design Azure landing zones, deploy EVPN/VXLAN infrastructures and lead complex technical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver large‑scale Azure networking solutions and carrier‑grade multi‑tenant architectures.
• Develop EVPN and VXLAN overlay environments and architect Azure hub‑and‑spoke and transit networking models.
• Integrate major telecoms providers, including Carrier Ethernet, Layer 2/3 services, MPLS, SD‑WAN and cloud interconnects.
• Own the ongoing operation of the platform, lead root‑cause analysis and major incident management, and define operational standards.
• Mentor engineering and operations teams and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Deep technical expertise in cloud networking and service‑provider technologies.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent written and spoken English for communication with customers, partners and senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure networking (ExpressRoute, Route Server, Virtual WAN, Firewall, Load Balancer, Gateway Load Balancer, Availability Zones, VMware Solution)
• Azure landing‑zone design, hub‑and‑spoke, network security groups, route tables, private connectivity
• BGP, MPLS, EVPN, VXLAN, Carrier Ethernet, Layer 2/3 VPN, SD‑WAN
• Routing platforms: FRR, Juniper MX/vMX, Cisco Catalyst 8000V, Nokia SR Linux, Arista EOS
• Linux administration, Python scripting, Terraform, Ansible, Git, CI/CD pipelines
• Automation and orchestration of virtual routing platforms and network telemetry integration
• Kubernetes networking, network observability platforms, DPDK, eBPF, XDP, Cloud‑Native Network Functions (CNFs)
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCNP, CCIE, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE
