Staff Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team on a permanent, full‑time basis. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will manage core accounting functions and perform high‑level analysis of revenue, credit, expenses and overhead across multiple countries and currencies.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly financial reporting for GNT and GEWATEC, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger activities in line with company policies.
• Prepare and submit monthly reconciliation templates, including balance‑sheet, WIP, AR/AfDA and intercompany reconciliations.
• Calculate, reconcile and monitor client invoices across multiple currencies.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in supplier and program transactions, coordinating with the Partnership team.
• Monitor escrow accounts and ensure sufficient funds for redemptions.
• Support quarterly reconciliations, year‑end tax slip preparation and Employer Health Tax management.
• Assist with IFRS 16 accounting postings and local accounting activities such as dunning and collection.
• Compile monthly financial statements, perform bank reconciliations and prepare sales tax returns.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Qualified Professional Accountant or a Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Strong knowledge of multi‑currency transactions and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
