Staff Software Engineer

About the role

Overjet is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the evolution of IRIS, its core dental imaging platform. You will make long‑term architectural decisions, integrate hardware, and ensure the system runs reliably in clinical settings. This remote role is based in Lahore and works on EST hours.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architectural evolution of the IRIS product.
• Drive technical decisions that enable future growth.
• Integrate IRIS with dental imaging hardware and third‑party device ecosystems.
• Reduce engineering toil by building tooling and structural improvements.
• Ensure reliability and correctness for daily clinical use.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows systems development, including process management, inter‑process communication, concurrency, and hardware/device integration.
• Strong expertise in C# and .NET, comfortable with async programming and cancellation patterns at scale.
• Commitment to reliability and correctness in production software.
• Ability to make architectural decisions that serve future engineers and build reusable tooling.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their use in debugging and diagnostics is a plus.
