Sustainability Officer – BAT Pakistan

About the role

BAT is expanding its global footprint and seeks a Sustainability Officer to support its commitment to a smokeless world. Based in Akora Khattak, Pakistan, you will work closely with the EH&S Manager to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe, environmentally responsible workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret the latest environmental, health and safety regulations, ensuring company compliance.
• Assist the EH&S Manager with monthly reporting of Global Reporting Indicators.
• Plan and coordinate fire station operations, including equipment maintenance and firefighting training for staff and contractors.
• Conduct guarding and interlocking assessments, performing spot checks to verify site compliance.
• Support EH&S reviews and audits at all levels.
• Facilitate environmental testing in line with legal requirements, EHS‑IMS, and established guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of national environmental and health & safety laws and legal processes.
• Familiarity with EH&S policies, procedures, and risk‑management principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
