System / Network Administrator

About the role

The Sindh Institute of Physical & Rehabilitation is looking for a qualified System / Network Administrator to oversee its IT infrastructure. The role ensures reliable operation, security, and efficiency of servers, computers, and network connectivity across the institute.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain servers, network devices and overall IT systems.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and network issues.
• Implement security protocols, firewalls and data‑protection strategies.
• Manage user accounts, backups and maintain an IT asset inventory.
• Coordinate with software and hardware vendors for maintenance and upgrades.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of network resources.
• Document system configurations, procedures and support staff with technical troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (HEC recognized).
• 3–5 years of professional experience in system or network administration.
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of network routing, switching and firewall technologies.
• Experience with virtualization, data backup and security tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.
