System & Network Engineer – Level II

About the role

The System & Network Engineer (Level II) will oversee, manage, and maintain IT infrastructure across multiple client environments. You will provide technical expertise in both on‑premises and cloud‑based systems to ensure continuous, secure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer client network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless) from vendors such as Cisco, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, HP and Aruba.
• Maintain Windows Server (2008‑2022) environments and virtualization platforms including VMWare and Hyper‑V.
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Azure services, handling user management, group policies and cloud resources.
• Implement and manage VPN solutions (Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet) and firewall configurations.
• Perform security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, patch management and assist clients with disaster‑recovery planning.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support, using remote tools to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
• Administer ticketing systems (ConnectWise, Kaseya, ServiceNow) and ensure thorough documentation of all actions.
• Monitor system performance with dedicated tools and generate regular reports on uptime, performance and security incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in system and network administration for diverse client environments.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and communicate technical information clearly.
