Tax Accounting Manager

About the role

Axtent is seeking an experienced US Accounting & Tax Manager to lead the accounting and tax operations for its US‑based clients. You will oversee a team of accountants, ensure high‑quality deliverables, and help scale the service line.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review US bookkeeping and accounting for multiple clients, including reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and month‑end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements and tax‑ready workpapers.
• Handle and review US tax filings such as 1040, 1065, 1120‑S, 1120, 1099 and W‑2.
• Support federal, state and sales‑tax compliance requirements.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants and bookkeepers.
• Communicate directly with US clients, CPAs and tax professionals.
• Develop SOPs, internal controls and scalable accounting processes.

Required profile

• CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including 3+ years serving US clients.
• Strong hands‑on experience in US bookkeeping and taxation.
• Experience with a US CPA firm, tax practice or accounting outsourcing firm.
• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Excellent English communication and client‑management skills.
• Detail‑oriented with ownership and leadership abilities.
