Tax Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, advisory and audit activities for foodpanda in Pakistan. You will ensure accurate filing, support business decisions and develop a high‑performing tax team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect tax returns, statements and statutory submissions.
• Monitor tax legislation changes and implement them across the business.
• Provide tax advice on commercial initiatives, contracts, new products and transactions, and identify tax‑efficient solutions.
• Lead tax audits, assessments, notices and litigation, preparing responses and coordinating with external advisors.
• Identify tax risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of three tax professionals, allocating work and monitoring performance.

Required profile

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of taxation experience, preferably with a Big Four firm or a multinational organization.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistan’s direct and indirect tax laws.
• Experience in tax compliance, advisory, audits and litigation.
• Background in e‑commerce, online marketplace or technology sector is preferred.
