Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager ensures strict tax and legal compliance with local ordinances and statutory charges, coordinating across functions such as Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and HR. The role involves interaction with external tax and legal consultants and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Sales Tax Act 1990, and provincial sales tax acts.
• Defend tax litigations, file returns on time, and provide information to tax authorities.
• Report monthly GST, income tax, and duty cases to the Financial Controller.
• Circulate tax‑related news, budget impacts, and maintain general ledger accounting for tax matters.
• Prepare tax position summaries, reconciliations, and track audits and notices.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (or part‑qualified with taxation paper cleared).
• Minimum 4 years of experience handling tax matters in a company or tax consulting firm.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of local tax laws, GST, income tax, Workers Welfare Fund and Workers Profit Participation Fund.
• Experience coordinating with external consultants and internal cross‑functional teams.
