Tax Risk and Operating Model Lead

About the role

The Tax Risk and Operating Model Lead will design, maintain and oversee the Group’s tax risk management framework and operating model. The role ensures tax risks are identified, assessed, managed and reported in line with enterprise risk, operational technology, cyber risk and financial reporting controls frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Group Tax Risk Management Framework, aligning it with ERMF, OTCR and FRCF.
• Draft, review and update Group Tax Policy and underlying standards, ensuring clear articulation of risk appetite and mandatory requirements.
• Promote a strong tax risk culture through training, awareness sessions and targeted communications.
• Design, document and maintain the global tax operating model, including end‑to‑end process taxonomy and RACI matrices.
• Engage with non‑Tax stakeholders (Finance, Treasury, HR, Operations, Technology, Products) to agree responsibilities, hand‑offs and information flows.
• Define tax risk appetite statements, metrics and thresholds; implement monitoring of tax risk indicators.
• Support governance, oversight and escalation for material tax risks globally.
