Team Lead Operations (Plant Shift Leader)

About the role

The Team Lead Operations is responsible for the safe and efficient running of the power plant during the assigned shift. This position ensures compliance with operating procedures, OEM guidelines, and all safety regulations while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the plant safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
• Lead daily morning meetings, providing input on operational needs.
• Prepare, issue, and cancel work permits as a Senior Authorized Person (SAP).
• Manage isolation/de‑isolation tasks under the Permit to Work system.
• Generate daily operation reports, shift reports, and event reports.
• Conduct plant rounds, identify abnormal conditions, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate load management and gas supply with ISMO, RCC, and SNGPL.
• Handle plant emergencies through effective teamwork and decision‑making.
• Lead safety drills, emergency response, and ensure compliance with Life‑Saving Rules.
• Create service requests in MAXIMO and follow up with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Graduate Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical or Control Systems (PEC‑recognized degree).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within power plant or petrochemical industries.
• Fluent in English (reading and writing).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, P&IDs and procedure documents.
