Team Leader – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

SMEC is looking for an experienced Team Leader to drive a major infrastructure development project in Islamabad, Pakistan. You will provide strategic direction, oversee delivery, and coordinate a multidisciplinary team to ensure project success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall project implementation, ensuring alignment with approved plans, schedules, and quality standards.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities.
• Develop technical solutions and implementation strategies to meet project objectives.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors for efficient execution.
• Monitor progress, identify performance improvement opportunities, and support risk management.
• Facilitate collaboration throughout the project lifecycle and ensure high‑quality documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s in Engineering Management, Construction Management, Project Management or related field is advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure, construction, or engineering projects.
• Proven track record leading large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, construction practices, and engineering management principles.
• Experience in consulting environments and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑engagement, and problem‑solving abilities.
