Team Leader – Trade Operations

About the role

The Team Leader – Trade Operations will oversee daily export and import transaction processing, ensuring compliance and efficient service delivery. This role coordinates with internal teams and external banks to maintain smooth transaction flows while driving operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise export LC advising, amendment processing, and confirmations.
• Manage daily export/import collection operations.
• Monitor transactions for regulatory compliance, including AML and sanctions.
• Allocate tasks, track performance, and provide training to team members.
• Coordinate with relationship managers, credit teams, and correspondent banks.
• Liaise with clients, collection banks, negotiating banks, and internal departments.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process enhancements.
• Monitor transaction turnaround time (TAT), resolve escalations, and support audit and compliance activities.
