Tech Support Specialist – Merchant Services

About the role

RedFynn is looking for a remote Tech Support Specialist to be the primary point of contact for merchants using its payment processing and SaaS solutions. You will help small and mid‑size businesses resolve technical issues quickly and keep their operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Answer technical support calls and emails from merchants.
• Troubleshoot terminal, POS, and payment processing problems.
• Assist with setup, installation, and configuration of payment terminals and gateways.
• Diagnose hardware, software, and connectivity issues and provide solutions.
• Escalate complex cases to Level 2 support when needed.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and processing vendors to resolve issues.
• Document all support interactions and resolutions in the CRM/ticketing system.
• Research and test POS software and integrations as required.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in merchant services or a related field.
• Experience with payment terminals such as PAX, Dejavoo, Valor, or ChargeAnywhere.
• Familiarity with processing platforms like TSYS or FD.
• Knowledge of POS systems and e‑commerce integrations (Shopify, Clover, WooCommerce, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
