Technical Service Specialist

About the role

The Technical Service Specialist performs planned maintenance, hardware and software upgrades (TSBs), and provides first‑line service support for diagnostic instruments. The role also assists with equipment installations and deinstallations while ensuring customer satisfaction. Success is measured by Net Promoter Score, service KPIs and district profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line service interventions typically under four hours of labor.
• Schedule and execute planned and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) activities.
• Perform and document hardware and software updates (TSBs).
• Support instrument installations and deinstallations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering field.
• 4‑5 years of relevant experience with a proven track record and customer references.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with laboratory staff.
• Technical expertise for the product line and problem‑resolution ability are essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency with analytical tools and software.
• Computer expertise in word processing, spreadsheet and database management applications.
• Experience handling hardware and software upgrades (TSBs).
• Capability to install and deinstall diagnostic instruments.
