Telecom Field Technician – Microwave & Power Systems

About the role

Connectserve Communication is seeking a skilled Telecom Technician with a minimum of two years of experience in the telecom industry. This role requires hands‑on expertise in installing, commissioning, configuring, and troubleshooting microwave links and related telecom equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission microwave links and other telecom network equipment to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
• Perform regular site inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to uphold system reliability and reduce downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues, telecom equipment faults, and power system failures swiftly using technical knowledge.
• Maintain and repair power system components such as DC power supplies, batteries, rectifiers, and ensure proper earthing and grounding at telecom sites.
• Configure and verify IP settings and network connectivity to support communication frameworks.
• Coordinate with site personnel, customers, and internal teams to communicate technical information, manage schedules, and resolve issues promptly.
• Document all maintenance activities, incidents, and repairs accurately for reporting and future reference.
• Travel between multiple telecom sites as required for installation and maintenance assignments.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in the telecom industry.
• Strong technical troubleshooting capabilities and solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work independently and collaborate with customers, site personnel, and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently to different telecom sites.
