Telecommunications Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join a global leader in the telecom industry on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust communication networks for enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize telecommunications networks, including VoIP, SIP, and PSTN systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate telecom solutions with existing IT infrastructure.
• Perform network monitoring, diagnostics, and issue resolution to ensure high availability.
• Configure and manage telecommunications hardware such as routers, switches, and gateways.
• Document network configurations, policies, and procedures for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with VoIP, SIP, and PSTN protocols.
• Strong knowledge of network architecture, routing, and switching.
• Experience handling telecom hardware (routers, switches, gateways).
• Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
