Textile CAD Designer

About the role

Lewani is a textile-focused design company based in Lahore, creating patterns and fabric designs for apparel and home textiles. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Textile CAD Designer who will develop detailed fabric patterns and repeats using computer-aided design tools so that designs are ready for production.

Key responsibilities

• Create and refine technical drawings and prepare construction drawings for textile applications.
• Collaborate with designers and production teams so that design concepts match manufacturing capabilities.
• Adjust designs according to feedback.
• Maintain organized digital design libraries.
• Ensure all CAD files meet quality and specification standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Textile Design, Industrial Design or a related field; prior experience in textile or fashion CAD is preferred.
• Attention to detail, good colour sense, pattern development skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Strong drawing and technical drawing skills.
• CAD skills for creating, modifying and managing digital textile patterns and layouts.
• Construction drawings and design engineering skills.
• Proficiency with industry-standard textile CAD software such as NedGraphics or Texcel is beneficial.
• Familiarity with print and weave design processes is beneficial.
