Textile Designer

About the role

We are looking for a creative Textile Designer to join Nakoosh’s design team in Karachi. The role focuses on developing original prints, patterns and embroidery layouts that reflect the brand’s contemporary style and seasonal direction.

Key responsibilities

• Research global fashion, colour and textile trends to inspire new collections.
• Conceptualise and sketch print and pattern ideas, creating repeatable designs.
• Produce production‑ready artwork and technical files for printing and embroidery.
• Collaborate with merchandising, product development and production teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost‑effective and meet commercial timelines.
• Participate in sample reviews, refine designs based on feedback and support quality checks during pre‑production.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in textile design, including knowledge of fabric types, dyeing and printing techniques.
• Degree or diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in apparel or home‑textile design is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
