Training and Development Specialist

About the role

The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for raising the capabilities and skills of the organisation's talent. The role assesses company-wide developmental needs, implements training initiatives and builds a strong learning culture so that employees can close competency gaps through appropriate training methods.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the organisation's training needs, including new-hire training, product and system training and performance management.
• Deliver engaging training on generic skills and orientation programmes so that new recruits perform well against established benchmarks.
• Run the full cycle of training needs analysis (TNA) with other stakeholders.
• Manage learning and compliance by rolling out a training calendar aligned to needs and requirements.
• Oversee training courses and materials to keep quality and consistency, evaluate training effectiveness and drive facilitation and coaching skills among line managers.
• Stay up to date with learning trends, changes in learning methodology and developments in learning content.

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in training and development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business field.
• Demonstrated ability to combine business results with a people-oriented approach.

Required skills

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Track record of developing and implementing new training programmes.
• Critical thinking and innovative problem-solving.
• Familiarity with traditional and modern techniques such as the 70-20-10 model and self-directed learning.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related tools such as CRM, LMS and JARVIS.
