Unit Head – RDA Remittance Settlement (AVP/VP)

About the role

The Unit Head – RDA Remittance Settlement will lead the RDA (Roshan Digital Account) remittance operations, ensuring compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations and anti‑money‑laundering policies. Reporting to the Wing Head RDA Operations, the role is remote‑friendly but anchored to the bank’s Karachi hub.

Key responsibilities

• Guide branch staff on document submission in line with SBP foreign‑exchange manuals and AML/CFT guidelines.
• Oversee daily business‑as‑usual processing of RDA remittances, including scrutiny, discrepancy resolution and financial posting.
• Handle all RDA‑related enquiries and coordinate with internal units for timely information exchange.
• Escalate and follow up on discrepant cases, ensuring swift rectification.
• Monitor high‑aging transactions, driving regular follow‑up for timely closure.
• Train team members on SBP RDA regulations and AML/CFT policies.
• Manage daily complaints, liaising with branch staff and the complaint management team.
• Address internal and external audit comments and implement preventive measures.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation from a recognized university; a master’s or professional degree is preferred.
• At least 6 years of banking experience, with 3 years in a supervisory role handling foreign‑exchange remittances, preferably RDA.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of ITRS, AML and CFT regulations.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of SBP regulations related to foreign exchange and RDA.
• Proficiency with the SWIFT system and SWIFT messaging formats.
• Understanding of NOSTRO/VOSTRO payment processing and centralized remittance cycles.
• Experience with AML/CFT compliance and related SBP policies.
