Urdu & Islamiyat Prep Teacher (Grades 6-8)

About the role

The City School is looking for an enthusiastic teacher to deliver Urdu language and Islamiyat instruction to middle‑school learners in Grades 6‑8. You will design and implement age‑appropriate lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Urdu lessons covering reading, writing, grammar and comprehension.
• Teach preparatory‑level Islamiyat focusing on Quranic literacy, basic fiqh, Seerah and moral values.
• Create lesson plans, instructional materials and formative assessments.
• Maintain records of student performance and provide remedial or enrichment support.
• Manage classroom behaviour and promote a respectful atmosphere.
• Communicate student progress to parents and collaborate with grade‑level teams.
• Utilise basic digital tools and school learning platforms for material preparation and tracking.

Required profile

• Strong command of Urdu language suitable for Grades 6‑8.
• Solid understanding of Islamiyat fundamentals at the preparatory level.
• Experience in lesson planning, curriculum mapping and assessment design.
• Effective classroom management and student‑engagement techniques.
• Clear verbal and written communication for parent interaction.
• Commitment to child safeguarding, punctuality and professionalism.
