Urdu QA Lead - Remote

About the role

This remote, hourly contract position is for an Urdu Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee the quality and consistency of AI‑generated Urdu content across multiple training projects. You will work with a fast‑growing AI data services company, ensuring that Urdu training data meets high linguistic and cultural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Urdu content and trainer/QA work against detailed project rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback in English to improve accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, and cultural appropriateness.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain documentation of quality guidelines.
• Monitor contributor activity and help reactivate inconsistent workers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urdu, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Urdu with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong command of English for following guidelines and providing feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Urdu writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or similar workflows.
• Deep understanding of Urdu grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, Nastaliq script conventions, and right‑to‑left formatting.

Required skills

• Experience evaluating content against detailed rubrics.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Discord.
