US Tax Specialist

About the role

The US Tax Specialist will oversee tax compliance for key client accounts, ensuring accurate federal and state filings and supporting strategic financial decisions. This role works closely with internal finance teams and clients in a hybrid remote setting based in Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Manage US federal and state tax compliance for assigned client accounts.
• Prepare, review, and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial and tax records in QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
• Analyze client data to ensure correct tax calculations, adjustments, and reporting.
• Provide advisory support on tax planning, deductions, credits, and reporting improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align tax data with accounting and financial reporting.
• Identify tax risks, opportunities, and process improvements for key accounts.
• Support senior management with tax summaries, forecasts, and audit documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Required profile

• ACCA, CPA, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (preferred).
• Proven experience in US taxation, including preparation and review of federal and state returns.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and IRS regulations.
• Experience with US‑based clients in healthcare, technology, or finance sectors.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and client management skills in a virtual environment.
