VAT & Accounting Specialist

About the role

Ibtdara is seeking an experienced VAT & Accounting Specialist to manage day‑to‑day accounting and finance operations. The role involves handling VAT calculations, tax reconciliations, payroll, cash‑flow management and ensuring full financial compliance for the business accelerator.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing and collections.
• Calculate VAT, maintain VAT records and perform tax reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate ledgers, financial statements, reports and management summaries.
• Process payroll, employee payments and reimbursements.
• Monitor cash flow, payments and cash requirements, supporting budgeting and forecasting.
• Handle tax filings, compliance documentation and coordinate with auditors as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on accounting and finance experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of VAT, taxation and tax reconciliation.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end accounting operations independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
