Visual Journalist – Karachi (2-Year Contract)

About the role

CNA Digital is looking for a Visual Journalist to join its team in Karachi on a two-year contract. The role supports the agency’s correspondents across Pakistan by capturing high-quality photos and videos that bring stories to life for digital and social platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with field correspondents to shoot photography and videography that accurately reflect the story.
• Assist correspondents with camera setups, lighting, and audio during on-location filming.
• Edit images and produce engaging short-form videos for digital and social media, working closely with the visuals editorial team in Singapore.
• Stay up-to-date with social-media trends and tailor visual content for each platform.
• Occasionally conduct independent reporting assignments as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in visual journalism.
• Proven ability to operate professional cameras for both photography and videography.
• Experience using mobile devices for filming and publishing.
• Strong portfolio showcasing photography, short-form social videos, and longer video pieces.
• Fluent in English and Urdu (or other local languages).
