VP Portfolio Operations – Remote (AI‑Driven Education)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is building an AI‑driven education platform that compresses a full day of learning into two hours. As VP Portfolio Operations you will own the execution infrastructure that enables executives to make confident capital and vendor decisions across a fast‑growing portfolio of initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Control portfolio‑wide tracking systems for 10+ simultaneous initiatives, using AI to normalize reporting, flag delays, and provide an executive view of progress, funding and risk.
• Conduct periodic vendor performance assessments and maintain rubric‑driven scorecards covering delivery, quality, cost efficiency, contractual compliance and qualitative execution indicators.
• Lead competitive procurement for technology vendors, including structured RFPs, standardized evaluations, statement‑of‑work creation and data‑backed recommendation reports.
• Oversee agreements and billing by monitoring rate limits, deliverable checkpoints, approval standards and modifications, and verify charges against contracts before payment authorization.
• Apply AI routinely to examine portfolio data, highlight outliers, detect sub‑standard performance and generate decision‑ready materials while reducing manual administrative effort.

Required profile

• Proven experience in portfolio operations, vendor management or procurement at a senior level, preferably within a technology‑focused organization.
• Track record of building and maintaining robust tracking and reporting systems that drive executive decision‑making.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable operational safeguards.
• High accountability mindset – able to document vendor failures, flag unauthorized expenditures and support multi‑million‑dollar commitments.
