WordPress Developer – Full‑time On‑site

About the role

Squares Techworks is seeking a full‑time, on‑site WordPress Developer to join its team in Gujrāt, Pakistan. You will build, customize and maintain WordPress websites for a portfolio of Norwegian clients, ensuring high quality, performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, customize and maintain WordPress sites, including themes, plugins and custom post types.
• Implement responsive layouts and ensure cross‑browser compatibility.
• Optimize site performance, SEO and security hardening.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely fixes.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to translate UI/UX designs into functional pages.
• Integrate third‑party services and APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to process improvements and support ongoing enhancements for client projects.

Required profile

• Strong front‑end development skills and solid web development experience.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL.
• Familiarity with WordPress page builders, theme frameworks and version control (Git).
• Understanding of SEO best practices, performance optimization and basic security hardening for WordPress.
• Ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with international clients or remote teams is a plus.
