Accountant – Finance Team (Karachi)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Karachi. The role offers the chance to develop expertise across financial operations, taxation, compliance and reporting in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain General Ledger transactions, including accruals and pre‑payments.
• Process Accounts Payable, review invoices for accuracy and tax compliance.
• Prepare payment vouchers and support payment processing.
• Record cash and bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support tax filings and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports, audit schedules and related documentation.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and provide general accounting administration support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; Oracle experience is a plus.
