Accounting Associate

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounting Associate to support outsourced accounting operations and manage daily financial workflows for our clients. You will work closely with the client delivery team to maintain accurate records, execute transactions, and contribute to smooth month‑end closes.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping, financial data entry, and expense coding for assigned client portfolios.
• Manage transactional workflows across general ledgers, assist with accounts payable/receivable, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Perform hands‑on reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor statements, customer accounts, and balance‑sheet items.
• Support month‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Assist broader financial close processes and compile data for client‑review financial reports.
• Work within client accounting platforms and ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Oracle, or SAP while adhering to controls.
• Coordinate with client management, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely and transparent financial data flow.

Required profile

• ACCA or CA part‑qualified, or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of core accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑location, retail, corporate, or shared‑services environment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data‑analysis formulas).
• Hands‑on experience with robust accounting/ERP systems (QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, Xero or similar).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, analysis, accruals, and month‑end close procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
• Willingness to work permanent onsite night shifts supporting US‑based clients.
