Accounts Officer - Revenue Management and Reporting

About the role

Pak Turk Maarif International Schools & Colleges is hiring an Accounts Officer specializing in revenue and expenses for its finance team in Islamabad. The role monitors and manages revenue streams and expense activities, keeps accurate financial records and ensures compliance with accounting policies. It does not involve team management but requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor revenue by tracking and reconciling receipts to keep accurate revenue records.
• Manage expenses: verify invoices, document expenses and ensure proper authorization and compliance with financial policies.
• Perform month-end closing, including ledger reconciliations and preparation of revenue and expense reports.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording revenue and expense transactions accurately.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and summaries of revenue performance and expense management.
• Use ERP accounting software and Microsoft Excel to input, process and analyse financial data.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls and financial policies, and identify and resolve accounting issues.
• Support audits by providing documentation, reconciliations and data, and coordinate with other departments.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and continuously improve accounting processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments.
