AI Engineering Manager – Product Focus

About the role

Mounatinise is seeking an experienced AI Engineering Manager to lead product‑driven, AI‑powered initiatives. This client‑facing position blends technical leadership with product thinking, requiring close collaboration with clients, product teams, and engineering squads to deliver high‑impact solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction across AI, software, and product development initiatives.
• Collaborate with clients to define business requirements, create technical roadmaps, and translate objectives into actionable engineering plans.
• Lead architecture reviews, drive technical decisions, and establish coding best practices, automation, and high‑quality delivery.
• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to prioritize features, manage trade‑offs, and align business and technical goals.
• Oversee development and implementation of AI‑driven solutions, automation workflows, and scalable software systems.
• Establish and improve engineering processes, development standards, and performance metrics.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads, fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and resource needs, and drive mitigation strategies.
• Support client communications, technical presentations, solution discussions, and project governance.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, engineering management, or technical leadership.
• Proven track record leading product‑focused engineering teams and delivering customer‑centric solutions.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, LLMs, automation platforms, and modern software architectures.
• Experience working directly with clients in consulting, agency, SaaS, or technology services environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional teams and multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on technical guidance.
