AI Platform Engineering Manager

About the role

Creative Chaos is building a greenfield AI platform that powers internal tools, infrastructure and AI agents across its ventures. As the AI Platform Engineering Manager you will design, deliver and operate this platform while leading a small multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the infrastructure stack – Proxmox clusters, AWS workloads and self‑hosted services such as SSO, wikis, observability and internal applications.
• Design, code and ship internal tools, dashboards, AI agents and workflow automations for each venture.
• Partner with venture leads to define AI workflow requirements, translate them into technical specifications and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Manage IT operations including identity, endpoint management, access reviews and reliability work for a 150‑person organization.
• Lead three direct reports (IT, infrastructure, tools/apps) and grow the team as business needs evolve.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience progressing from developer to DevOps or platform engineering, continuously writing code.
• Proven ability to manage small technical teams (2‑5 people) while staying hands‑on.
• Strong organizational discipline with a track record of maintaining up‑to‑date SOPs, runbooks and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to translate business problems into clear technical specs.
• Comfortable working with AI‑assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) and owning ambiguous, roadmap‑free initiatives.
