AI Technical Lead (Remote)

About the role

This full‑time remote position focuses on advancing frontier AI models through rigorous evaluation, failure analysis, and iterative development. You will bridge real‑world problems with structured evaluation frameworks, driving measurable performance gains across high‑stakes domains such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end research and evaluation initiatives, from problem framing to signal validation.
• Design machine‑learning‑oriented data systems, including task definitions, annotation schemas, rubrics, incentives, and pipelines optimized for downstream model performance.
• Analyze model and system failures to uncover root causes, edge cases, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate ambiguous real‑world behavior into structured evaluation frameworks and new data categories.
• Iterate rapidly on evaluations, datasets, and feedback loops to enhance model and system performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in research signal judgment for AI/ML systems, including evaluation design and experimental validation.
• Strong background in ML‑oriented data design with expertise in annotation schemas and rubrics aligned to model training objectives.
• Ability to convert operational insights into research‑ready inputs, bridging domain expertise and technical execution.
• Hands‑on experience with reinforcement learning environments or comparable ML evaluation systems.
• Experience building and iterating high‑velocity data pipelines while maintaining quality.
