Assistant Accountant – FinOps

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant – FinOps to join our Finance Operations team in Pakistan. The role focuses on Accounts Receivable while also supporting reconciliations, reporting and day‑to‑day finance activities in collaboration with our UAE finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts to ensure accurate data before invoicing.
• Prepare and issue sales invoices, adjustments and credit notes.
• Track outstanding receivables, follow up with customers and escalate overdue cases.
• Record customer payments (bank transfers, cheques, Adyen, Checkout) and allocate them correctly in the ERP.
• Support AR reconciliations, maintain aging and collection trackers.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and routine general‑ledger postings.
• Help with month‑end AR closing, reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare schedules and reports for management review and audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with finance policies, internal controls and audit requests.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• ACCA student/affiliate (preferred) or finance/accounting graduate from a reputable university.
• 1–1.5 years of accounting/finance operations experience, preferably with AR exposure.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Sage preferred) and advanced MS Excel functions.
• Strong numerical, analytical, communication and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Sage ERP (or similar) proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
