Assistant Accountant

About the role

The Assistant Accountant will support daily accounting operations at Green Gold Agri Seeds in Faisalabad. This full‑time, on‑site role involves recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with both accounts payable and receivable.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and support monthly and annual closing activities.
• Organise financial documentation and support internal audits.
• Provide accurate financial data for reporting and budgeting.
• Collaborate with the finance team and follow up with vendors and clients.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles.
• Relevant academic background (diploma or degree) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Prior experience in an accounting or finance support role, preferably in agriculture, trading or manufacturing.
• Attention to detail, organizational and time‑management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on‑site team environment.
• Basic understanding of local tax regulations is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel for spreadsheets, reconciliations and data analysis.
• Competence in MS Office applications.
