Assistant Branch Manager

About the role

The Assistant Branch Manager will support the Branch Manager in Karachi to achieve sales, service and operational targets. This full‑time, on‑site position involves supervising staff, coordinating daily activities and driving business growth through customer acquisition and cross‑selling of insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager in meeting branch sales, service and operational goals.
• Supervise and coach branch staff, schedule daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Drive customer acquisition, cross‑sell life insurance and savings products, and maintain relationships with existing policyholders.
• Oversee customer service standards, resolve escalated client issues and ensure accurate policy documentation.
• Prepare regular performance reports, forecasts and compliance documentation.
• Support local marketing, outreach activities and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Participate in staff training, performance feedback and development initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in branch operations, team coordination and supervision within financial services or a related sector.
• Strong sales, customer relationship management and negotiation abilities.
• Solid understanding of basic finance and insurance concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce or a related field; experience in banking or insurance branch operations preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Urdu or local languages an advantage.
• Ability to work on‑site in Karachi, manage multiple priorities and maintain professionalism in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with digital tools and internal CRM or policy administration systems.
