Assistant Chief Engineer

About the role

KHOJ Resorts is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in managing the Engineering Department. The role ensures smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen and utility systems across the resort.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in daily department management and supervision of preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor and inspect MEP, HVAC, kitchen, and utility systems to guarantee optimal performance.
• Review engineering logbooks, coordinate corrective actions, and maintain equipment history and technical documentation.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules and oversee external contractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with fire, life‑safety and health‑safety regulations and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Guide engineering technicians, prepare departmental reports, and support budget monitoring for CapEx and OpEx.
• Participate in meetings, represent the department when needed, and contribute to staff training and development.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in engineering maintenance within a hospitality or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of MEP, HVAC, kitchen equipment and building maintenance.
• Good understanding of fire and life‑safety systems and preventive maintenance practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering maintenance software.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
