Assistant Engineer – Store & Scrap

About the role

The Assistant Engineer – Store & Scrap supports the material flow on‑site, ensuring that inventory is accurately tracked and that proposals are validated through practical, on‑ground assistance. The role bridges the gap between the shop floor and the planning team, using SAP MM to manage reservations, receipts and issues of material.

Key responsibilities

• Process SAP reservations for material issuance and receipt.
• Supervise and coordinate SAP MM activities for both store and scrap sections.
• Review system‑generated documents and maintain clear intra‑ and inter‑department communication.
• Track all material movements with proper documentation to ensure verifiable records.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of inventory‑management operations.
• Maintain strong communication with both lower‑level staff and senior management.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management or the department head.

Required profile

• Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE).
• 2‑3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of hands‑on SAP MM experience.
