Assistant IT Manager

About the role

VD Biotech is seeking an Assistant IT Manager to support the company’s technology infrastructure in its Multan office. The role combines hands‑on technical support with coordination of IT services, ensuring reliable and secure operations for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for hardware, software, network and user‑access issues.
• Administer workstations, printers, servers, operating systems and business applications.
• Monitor system performance, security controls, antivirus protection and data‑backup processes.
• Maintain IT asset registers, user accounts, software licences and technical documentation.
• Assist with onboarding, user training, access management and implementation of IT policies.
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance, troubleshooting, procurement and infrastructure upgrades.
• Support the IT Manager on projects, risk mitigation and business continuity activities.

Required profile

• Practical experience supporting Windows workstations, printers and common business software.
• Working knowledge of LAN, Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches and basic network troubleshooting.
• Ability to administer Microsoft 365 or similar productivity platforms.
• Understanding of backups, endpoint security, antivirus, patching and access‑control practices.
• Experience maintaining IT inventories, licences and technical documentation.
• Strong incident diagnosis, ticket handling and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requests and communicate clearly.
