Assistant Manager – Accounts & Internal Audit

About the role

Malek Foam Industry is seeking a motivated CA Finalist to join the finance team as Assistant Manager – Accounts & Internal Audit. The role offers hands‑on experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory control and internal audit within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and prepare supporting schedules.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations, review AR/AP, bank and inventory reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate with external auditors and handle audit documentation.
• Review product costing, bills of materials, production consumption and analyse cost variances.
• Monitor raw material, WIP and finished‑goods inventory, participate in physical stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform risk‑based internal audits of procurement, production, inventory, sales, payroll, cash and fixed assets.
• Test internal controls, prepare audit observations and follow up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• CA Finalist from ICAP with completed mandatory training/articles.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of post‑training experience.
• Articles from a reputable audit firm preferred.
• Exposure to manufacturing, inventory audit or cost accounting is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS, ISAs and basic Pakistani tax and corporate requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site at Kala Shah Kaku.
