Assistant Manager – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

About the role

CCL Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) function in a manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and continuous operation of equipment, utilities, and automation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for electrical, instrumentation, and automation assets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in PLCs, instrumentation systems, electrical distribution, and process control equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation, control system backups, and engineering records.
• Work with OEMs and vendors to address technical problems and optimise support.
• Utilise a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for planning, reporting, and spare‑parts management.
• Apply HSE standards and engineering best practices to ensure safe plant operations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve overall plant performance.

Required profile

• BSc in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in E&I maintenance within a regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, FMCG, chemical, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical safety standards and HSE requirements.
