Assistant Manager Finance

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager Finance to own management reporting, MIS dashboards, and financial analytics. The ideal candidate combines strong business understanding with meticulous, accuracy‑driven reporting and advanced Excel capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports (MIS) for leadership and business teams.
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards, KPI trackers, and reporting templates.
• Perform financial analysis to support decisions on revenue, costs, profitability, and utilization.
• Support month‑end reporting, ensuring accuracy of key packs and handling AR, AP, and payroll functions.
• Maintain data integrity, perform reconciliations, and guarantee reporting accuracy across sources.
• Identify reporting gaps and drive automation or process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to capture business drivers and reporting needs.
• Leverage Finance AI tools for efficiency, variance analysis, and forecasting support.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, insurance companies, and government authorities.
• Apply knowledge of IFRS, Company Law, corporate taxation, and international subsidiary bookkeeping.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance reporting, MIS, or analytics.
• Audit firm or software/IT industry experience is a plus; otherwise, experience in a structured, process‑driven sector.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Highly detail‑oriented with a commitment to reporting discipline.
• Immediate availability or short notice preferred.
• Qualification: MBA (Finance) from a reputable university OR CA/ICMA (qualified or part‑qualified).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel: XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, SUMIFS, IF/IFS, nested formulas, Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, slicers, dynamic arrays.
• Excel automation: Power Query, Macros.
• Financial reporting and MIS dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of IFRS, corporate taxation, and Company Law.
• Experience with AR, AP, and payroll processes.
• Data reconciliation and integrity management.
• Familiarity with Finance AI tools for automation and forecasting.
