Assistant Manager – Human Resources

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Human Resources will support and enhance HR operations, policies, and processes across AstroZon, a specialized e‑commerce consultancy. Based on‑site in Karachi, the role handles recruitment cycles, onboarding, employee records, performance management, engagement initiatives, and compliance with Pakistani labour law.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment cycles and coordinate with department heads to forecast staffing needs.
• Facilitate onboarding and induction processes for new hires.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
• Assist in designing and implementing performance management frameworks.
• Drive employee engagement and training & development programs.
• Ensure compliance with local labour legislation and company policies.
• Coordinate payroll inputs with Finance and address employee queries and grievances.
• Contribute to HR reporting, analytics and support organizational culture initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.
• Good knowledge of HR policies, Pakistani labour laws and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Ability to handle HR data, generate reports and work with HRIS or similar systems.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; professional HR certification a plus.
• Prior experience in fast‑paced e‑commerce, consulting or technology environments is preferred.
