Assistant Manager – Inventory Control

About the role

Nexel Shipping & Logistics is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead its Inventory Control department in Karachi. This full‑time, on‑site position oversees container movements, monitors stock levels, and ensures accurate record‑keeping using the Climax system.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on inventory issues, resolve them via email and coordinate with agents for on‑call clarifications.
• Update daily inventory reports for each sector in the Climax software.
• Prepare consolidated daily inventory reports covering all sectors.
• Maintain and update booking forecasts, tracking progress and follow‑up.
• Identify and address long‑aging inventory items.
• Resolve disputed cases with agents and trade partners.
• Arrange OFF‑Hire/ON‑Hire activities, terminal operations, and depot logistics.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in NVOCC operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Climax inventory software.
