Assistant Manager Manufacturing

About the role

You will lead and support production and manufacturing operations to deliver safe, high‑quality pharmaceutical products on time. Working closely with operations, quality, engineering and planning teams, you will coach staff, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily manufacturing and packaging activities to meet schedules, quality and safety standards.
• Coach and develop production teams, set clear expectations and provide regular feedback.
• Support compliance and quality systems through investigations, CAPAs, change controls and audit readiness.
• Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation and system postings.
• Collaborate with engineering and planning to manage equipment availability, material flow and capacity.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce waste and improve key performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, filling or packaging operations.
• Supervisory or frontline leadership exposure in production environments.
• Experience with SAP, manufacturing execution systems or inventory management tools.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or operational‑excellence methodologies.
• Proven ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and manage CAPA processes.
