Assistant Manager Procurement

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Procurement will lead the end‑to‑end Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) cycle, ensuring timely, cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services while upholding quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers through a structured vendor qualification process.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and service‑level agreements.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
• Manage the complete P2P process from requisition to supplier payment, including purchase order issuance and invoice verification.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance, expedite critical orders, and coordinate Goods Receipt Notes with stores and user departments.
• Collaborate with Finance/Accounts Payable to ensure accurate invoice reconciliation and timely vendor payments.
• Develop and maintain long‑term supplier relationships and conduct performance evaluations using KPIs such as quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance.
• Maintain approved vendor lists and supplier master data.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end procurement or P2P processes.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities.
• Familiarity with procurement policies, compliance requirements, and contract administration.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal departments such as stores, finance, and user teams.
