Assistant Manager Sales – Import Freight Forwarding

About the role

The Assistant Manager Sales will drive sales targets for import customs clearance and freight forwarding services, support regional operations, acquire new clients and nurture existing relationships. The role requires deep knowledge of the import process and strong communication abilities to deliver tailored logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain thorough knowledge and experience in sales of import customs clearance.
• Understand import customs clearance procedures and the overall import workflow.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across freight forwarding, customs clearance, transport and warehousing.
• Conduct daily market visits and prepare sales proposals, quotations and presentations customized to client needs.
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships by addressing logistics requirements with suitable solutions.
• Follow company policies to optimise profits and minimise costs.
• Utilise MS Office proficiently for reporting and documentation.
• Use personal vehicle for client visits and job‑related travel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 5–6 years of sales experience, preferably in import customs clearance.
