Assistant Manager – Technology Middleware & Platforms

About the role

The Assistant Manager will own the operation and support of IBM API Connect across cloud and on‑premise environments. You will lead incident resolution, ensure platform stability, and collaborate with IBM technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, deploy and monitor IBM API Connect on cloud and on‑prem VMs.
• Analyze logs, perform root‑cause analysis and lead incident resolution calls.
• Configure backup, restoration and apply product patches and upgrades.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying APIs.
• Manage API lifecycle via the API Management Portal and handle consumer administration.
• Integrate third‑party tools such as Elastic for analytics and use Splunk for monitoring and alerting.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in middleware, API management and production support.
• Strong analytical, communication and people skills.
• Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle, from design to support.

• IBM MQ, Oracle/SQL Database.
• Azure Cloud, DevOps CI/CD tools.
• Core Java, Micro‑services concepts.
• AIX/UNIX operating system knowledge.

• Elastic stack for analytics.
• TLS profiles and OAuth2 security configuration.
