Assistant Professor – Human Nutrition & Dietetics

About the role

Riphah International University is seeking an Assistant Professor to strengthen its Human Nutrition and Dietetics programme. The successful candidate will deliver lectures, supervise students and advance research in nutritional assessment and biochemistry, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and practical sessions on human nutrition, nutritional assessment and nutritional biochemistry.
• Develop, update and maintain curriculum content aligned with current scientific research and dietary guidelines.
• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and integrate findings into teaching materials and clinical guidelines.
• Lead scholarly research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and contribute to the university’s research reputation.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees and quality‑assurance activities.
• Assist in preparing academic reports, grant applications and other research documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance educational and research initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Human Nutrition, Dietetics or a closely related field.
• Minimum five years of university‑level teaching experience.
• At least two years experience as a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly publications in nutrition science.
• Ability to develop curriculum and deliver high‑quality instruction.
